ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Allegations of strippers inside a University of Michigan residence hall is raising some questions among school officials.
The story among students is that the strippers were brought to Mary Markley Hall for a birthday party.
"They were there for the guy's birthday. I think a bunch put their money together and they did it for his birthday," said Phil Sakalian.
Sakalian, who lives in the residence hall, said he saw two strippers walking down the hallway.
"They were barely wearing any clothes, they were cute," he said.
Student Jordan Kieltyka said he saw the strippers, too.
"They wore high heels, ya know. One was wearing white, one was wearing black," Kieltyka said.
Other students Local 4 spoke with said they weren't surprised to hear that strippers may have been in a residence hall.
Student Floyd White said his hall mate has a stripper pole in his room.
"If a kid wants to bring a stripper, and if it's in his own room and not offending anybody else, that's not really an issue," said another student, Michael Harrison.
University officials said they are looking into whether the party took place in a private room, or in a common area.
Officials said there have been no complaints filed, but, if the party took place in a common area, said that would mean a violation of residence hall rooms and could result in punishment.
