My mom adds a layer of cottage cheese along with the regular ricotta. Makes it fucking tasty.

I think when my mom makes hers she adds cream cheese, cottage cheese, and parmesan cheese. then sausage and sauce. it's fucking amazing. I think I had spinach lasagna before and it was pretty good.
