I like Monotheist a bit better. I thought the female vocalist on Eparistera Daimones were not good though. They would have been better if you couldn't hear all the spit moving around when she opened her mouth.

The "fall asleep in my arms" bit in My Pain is one of my favorite parts of the album...
But on a whole, they weren't the best. I think I like this one just as much as Monotheist, because of the reasons listed, and the reason I like Monotheist so much is because it has the Celtic Frost name to it. I don't think I would hold it in the same regard if it was another band's debut.
1. Eparistera Daimones-Triptykon 2. Circle The Wagons- Darkthrone 3. Starve for the Devil-Arsis 4. Scenes from Hell-Sigh 5. Evolution of Chaos- Heathen 6. Majesty and Decay-Immolation 7. After-Ihsahn 8. Angelus Exuro Pro Eternus-Dark Funeral 9. Belus-Burzum 10. The Farthest Reaches-Sons of Aurelius

This is what it's looking like:
1. The Ocean - Heliocentric 2. Triptykon - Eparistera Daimonos 3. Heathen - Evolution of Chaos 4. Ihsahn - After 5. High on Fire - Snakes for the Divine 6. Arsis - Starve for the Devil 7. Darkthrone - Circle the Wagons 8. Kalmah - 12 Gauge 9. Unleashed - As Yggdrasil Trembles 10. Dark Tranquillity - We Are the Void
These aren't all I've listened to, they're just albums that I think could last the rest of the year. There have been some weak releases this year.
I'll be checking out Barren Earth, Periphery, and Borknagar too. Anything else I'm missing???

Celtic Frost!!!
It's like a continuation of Monotheist, with more faster parts.
