The thing I think is most fucked up about it is how IMHO that isnt even "hunting"; It's more like exotic execution. They raise these animals on these caged in farms, and then people come over they put them in a metal caged trucks, drive them to where they typically hang in their cage, and then they shoot them. It's like fishing in a fish hatchery, and then when you catch a fish after 2 seconds with no bait you get excited "LOOK! I CAUGHT ONE!!". No shit Sherlock.
I think I'd be more okay with it if they allowed bow and arrows only, and the people actually had to track them, sneak up on them, or have the animal stumble across your hiding space then bam... Yeah you got it. All im saying is if you are hunting a lion, that lion should have an equal opportunity to hunt you. Im okay with the lions death, I just want the lion to have a sporting chance. and a nice human snack everyone now and then when the hunter sucks.
Im not defending trophy hunting. Im just saying there is a direct link between trophy hunting and the resurgence of some species in Africa.
oh, okay... yeah. It's funny because the resurgence is only driven by greed. We have animals now because people pay us big money to kill them, so we keep growing them and protecting them from others who dont pay to kill them

I agree, but a lot of the animals that are growing in numbers live on wild life reserves where there is t any hunting so it is doing some good.

you just posted the joe Rogan video... That's why I specified the hunting one. dont know if you realize it but that hunting video you posted was an hour long dude
Rex just because they're funding conservation through poaching doesnt make it the right answer. Indonesia realized that manta rays were worth more as a tourist attraction living a full life than they were dead.
I agree. The thing is Africa is different than pretty much every where on earth. Its dangerous there. People without guns don't want to just travel there. They are more comfortable seeing lions in cages here.
I would be all for it if it was more like actual hunting ( there are some reserves that do this).Unfortunately like most things it is fueled my greed.
I mostly only carried on with it because peoplie said it was the stupidest thing they had heard and couldn't possibly be true lol.

isn't Australia home of the most deadly animals? I watch quite a bit of Animal Planet and pretty sure they have talked about some really fucked up animals there.

there are some places where you go and actually hunt. I'm sure they are fewer in number though.
