I like longer sets. Especially when its for bands that I like. I've seen Agalloch play a two hour set once, and it was amazing. When headliners don't even play for an hour/hour and a half I feel cheapened. A local opener I expect to play like 20-30 minutes. I mean, I play 30 minute sets of 5/6 songs.
for sss most of their songs are seconds I think, so thats sort of whatever. but when I saw dead in the dirt, they played for also fifteen tops, maybe jammed nine or ten songs, the rest was just feedback. most of their songs are at least a minute, so that kind of pissed me off. only three or four bands on the bill, so they had time to play at LEAST 25 min.
yeah, that's a bit short for them, I'd hope at least 25-30. I feel like 30 minute sets is the perfect time for hardcore/grind/powerviolece whatever stuff
