I'm down for anything as long as it has some heart and creativity. I don't typically give a shit about Hispanic music, but hearing someone like Ibriham Ferrer play it makes my soul stir. I can't stand most blues, but hearing the pain that Son House poured into it resonates. I could go on. There are people that judge us based on what they think of FFDP or Motley Crüe just cuz they don't know any better. I try hard to know, and I try to make people see metal for what I love about it instead of what their notion of it is
I like watching truly talented musicians do their thing live. I can enjoy a good country band if they play the fuck out of them acoustic guitars. Im not a big fan of the fiddle, but if you can play the damn thing well enough I will be. Ive heard some dudes fuck shit up on hammered dulcimers before. Hell, some dudes can rock out a 5 gallon bucket.
I used to live with this hippie dude that played washboard in a zydeco band. At first I thought it was ridiculous, but then I saw him live and it all made sense. I never thought you could have talent playing such a primitive instrument, but dude could rock it. He used to get all these cool gigs off it too. When we were living together, Chuck D from Public Enemy saw his band at a bar and ended up bringing him and their bass player out to play at a Public Enemy gig later on. I was totally jelly
The first video has Huggie playing his washboard. The second has him on bongos. The second is a little more representative of their sound. The bass player Charlie Wooton is prolly the most talented musician that I know
Love it.
Those kinds of bands in bars make some of the best unexpected nights of fun when you go out not really expecting much but end up having an amazing time.

real country music is awesome most people just don't see it cuz of the complete garbage over saturation .. Very lame and sad
Same as almost every genre, tbh
