I'm still not convinced about creatine. Apparently it helps with muscle recovery and building muscle. I've used It as a build up to a competition but it's not advisable to stay on it for too long As it can damage your liver(?) I find that I put on 2-3kg of bodyweight when using it and of course you get stronger as heavier body weight generally means you can lift more. The only thing is I think the extra body weight comes From retaining water as opposed to putting on muscle as it soon drops off again when I stop taking it.
Yea, I'm kinda hesitant on it too. I actually bought a tub, and then returned it for a tub of whey protein. It's not suitable for my workout right now, I'm still tryna lose some extra weight, and I still do a lot of Cardio, and to my understanding, Creatine only really helps with lifting, and Asylum only has one primary resistance/strength based workout, which is Strength. I'll look into it when I start P90X or Body Beast. But then again, I also heard that using it under 18 years old can stunt growth, but of course, it's all speculation and not proven by any Doctors or anything yet.
I did find that it helped my lifting, but then like I say it may have been purely because it made me put on some body weight (which is a pain when you're Trying to keep your body weight down to fit within a particular weight class)
I used to lift in the 75kg weight class and once I had to sit in a sauna for 45 minutes before I lifted in order to lose 700gm of weight (to get into the weight class I wanted) Another time I had to step on the scales nude in order to weigh in at bang On 75.00kg
Idk if it's even worth it doe. To my understanding, you need to keep on taking it basically, and as soon as you stop, you "deflate", meaning it gives you fake muscles from water weight surrounding the muscles, giving you the illusion of being 10x more swole than you actually are.
