If it's one of those 200+ student lecture hall classes, I seriously doubt the instructor(s) will give two shits. In college, it's more of them letting you fuck yourself over rather than making sure you don't.

Most definitely. Also, look at the syllabus, then pick your skip days, otherwise you might fuck yourself in the end. Most prof's have skip quotas.

My Apocalypse class..which was 153 students (yes, slightly less then 200), had a 2 skip quota, sign in every class. And the TA, and 2 grad students hunted us down if we had ONE skip. The prof's were mean about bathroom breaks and lateness too.

Just do yourself a favor and feel out the class/prof/course load first before you start skipping.
