Taking out a lip piercing....?

So pretty much, American Carnage Leg 1, I wanted to hit the pits more than anything for Megadeth, but the only thing that stopped me is my lip piercing, because I didn't want it to get hit or caught on something and ripped out, so for this Saturday, I NEED to hit the pits for MegaDave, so could I take out my lip piercing for those 5-6 hours? Or would it close up/get infected?

when did you have it done? ive had mine for like 2 years and its fine for a whole 10 hour day....without any ointment or anything. i just kinda play with my lip with my tongue to stretch out the hole from time to time just so the film doesnt start to close it

hmmm idk if you just have like the stud with ball/spike/whatever on the end you shouldnt have a problem getting it caught. i usually go in there with a horseshoe in. (i have the labret once in the middle)

I had my lip pierced September of last year. It was healed and I was able to change it in late October.I took it out for a dentist appoint in January for THREE hours and it was fucking closed. I still need to get it redone.
