A 6+ foot snake can't be on Mice unless they're eating shit tons of them in one sitting. Even the most appropriately sized prey can injure a snake. And a month is too long of a span. Every week is the usual for a baby, then every 2 weeks for an adult. My Burm is on a day feeding schedule.

I used to have pythons. I fed them live FEMALE rats. never had a issue.
Uhh yeaaa, sex has nothing to do with it. If animal has teeth and claws, and is fighting for it's life, it can hurt something.

I'm not a violent person, but if I'm about to die and I'm fighting for my life, I'll literally do anything, even if it means killing the person putting MY life in danger.
Well yes, but for pet snakes, it's better to feed frozen. Tames them, and it just eliminates the risks. Yes, snakes don't get served in the wild, they hunt and kill whenever they find it, since they're opportunistic feeders, but with that same logic, snakes NEVER live too long in the wild, and they often times DO get injured in the wild, especially the big ones who go after Gazelles and what not.
I've fed my Ball live ONCE, and he almost got bit on the tail, and I just said fuck that shit. Frozen is the way to go for the overall health of a snake.

i used to give my python a couple live pinkies as a treat every now and then..
my king snake used to eat either two pinkies or 1 small mouse a week for its meals.
im getting another Iguana soon..i miss my old one...he died when we moved to AZ...
