to me Sublime was no better or no worse than the rest of the crappy "alternative" bands that were getting airplay in the 90's. They just had a singer than died.
You should live in Chicago. There's still a station that has never stopped playing the same music from 1993 to 1998. Every once in awhile they try and sprinkle in a new song, but it's all 90's for the most part. The funny thing is they still call themselves Chicago's New Rock Alternative!
