I'm in the German Club at my school and I get to pick the music for the meetings so I was wondering if yall had any particular bands (they don't have to be metal). I already know the big ones like Rammstein, Blind Guardian, Helloween, Kreator, and The Scorpions.

OOMPH! is probably your best bet, they are a mega popular Rock band in Germany. Wir Sind Helden is a rock/pop band, Megaherz & Eisbrecher are on the techno side, all 4 sing in German. Here is a sample of OOMPH!:

Sounds weird at first but then it grows on you quickly, pretty much the same with every song in a foreign language.

You should have had my German teacher though, he was the person who introduced me to Rammstein. In one of our in class assignments he would give us the lyrics to Dalai Lama with many of the words missing and we would listen to the full song and have to fill in the missing words. Such an awesome teacher.
