Anyone have Killing Floor and know how to connect to friends' games?

Me an my friend have been unable to connect to eachothers' games. I did some fixes in the .ini files, and just opened some ports. Hopefully that will fix the issue.
I did the order online and pick up in store thing for Best Buy. It said it was in stock and good to go. Placed the order and 45 min later I get an email saying its not available anymore. I was disappointed
But walmart has it for $30 so I may pick it up tomorrow.
