95% of the FPS shooters out there are at their very are base Halo clones doing almost nothing to push the genre forward save new multiplayer maps and modes and the retarded masses eat that shit up like its going out of style. i miss they days when games had to at least try to be original. online gaming is the death of originality imo
Why are you acting like 95% of FPS came out after Halo? The reason the push the multiplayer is because that's what people want right now and it extends the life of the game. Everything is online now just lile almost everything is mobile. People don't want to go and play through a game, beat it then have nothing left to do with it because there's no multiplayer. Which is why FEAR 3 is going to have that feature. And if you want anything "original" in gaming, movies, tv, ect...you are going to have to look hard or go back in time

you do realize that halo is a decade old now and at the time of its release revolutionized the entire genre right?
You do realize that Doom was a FPS right? That came out in the early 90's. Halo never revolutionized anything because CoD, Killzone, Socom, Resistance, ect are completely different. Only thing Halo did was start the high demand for FPS. Doom would have if there were as many gamers in the 90's as there are now.
"Fear 2 had multiplayer"
Didn't know since I wasn't able to play it. And the 64 wasn't the "in" thing in my childhood, playstation was. I just got the 64 first because of the game cartridges and I wanted to play Mario at my house instead of my friends lol. The gamecube and the games just left me not caring too much about it

Details from Microsoft's upcoming E3 press conference may have leaked onto the Internet a little early.
According to information found by SlashGear it would appear that Microsoft are set to announce that they are becoming to first virtual cable operator in the country.
They are set to announce Xbox Live Diamond which will be Microsoft's first step into the IPTV business, the service will include Kinect based motion controls as well as a whole host of video and audio items.
According to the site Microsoft are still in last minute talks with content providers and if they sign off on this then the announcement will be going ahead.
E3 is just a matter of hours away now and the rumours have been building about the show for months but how many of these could come true?
Below you will find the top 10 rumours flying around the Internet that have a least a chance of coming true at this years show.
- New Legend Of Zelda Title
The announcement of a new Nintendo console just wouldn't be right without at least one new Zelda game to accompany it, whether this is a hole new title or that Skyward Sword is set for Nintendo's new console is yet to be seen.
- New Xbox Console
Microsoft will not let Nintendo steal the show and it's getting to the point where the Xbox 360 is reaching its technical limits so could this be the time to announce the next generation? There have been job adverts from Microsoft looking for people to work on the next generation.
- Fable 4
Well it's become part and parcel of E3 the great Fable promises and no doubt Molyneux will be trying once again to achieve his dream but will it be on the Xbox 360 or the next generation of console?
- Halo 4/ Halo: CE HD
This is one of the more heavily rumoured items, we all know that 343 Industries has been working on the Halo franchise for a while now since it took over from Bungie but will it be Halo 4 or a remake of Halo: Combat Evolved?
- Kinect Support for Mass Effect & Other titles
The rumours have started that some major titles from Microsoft could contain native Kinect support such as Mass Effect 3. This looks the most likely rumour to come true after the box art for Mass Effect 3 was put up on EA's Store featuring the "better with Kinect" banner it was shortly take back down.
- Zone of Enders 3
Konami announced earlier this week that they will be remaking the first two Zone of Enders for Xbox 360 and PS3. It was announced that there are no future plans for the Metal Gear Solid series to be announced at this years E3 leaving Konami with very few things to do at the show this year, this could lead to an announcement of Zone of Enders 3 on the back of the HD remakes.
- Gears of War: Exile
Epic has already announced it plans to carry on the Gears of War franchise after the trilogy and a recent leak of the Official Xbox Magazine E3 special shows that Gears of War: Exile will be at this years show, will we see the next game in the franchise revealed?
- God of War IV
Well numerous job adverts have been spotted we know Sony are working on a new title in the franchise. The original trilogy may be over but I wouldn't expect them to let this money bank sleep just yet.
- Grand Theft Auto V
There have been more and more rumours the closer we get to E3 with possible locations, voice acting casting calls and linkedIn profiles. If this isn't a new GTA title then it's pretty damn close to one.
- New Bungie Title
Bungie have been hard at work with their new partners Activision developing a multiplatform AAA title. It's been more than long enough now for a developer as large as Bungie with the money behind them to have developed their title to a showable state.

im noobish with this kinda stuff, what exactly does this mean? virtual cable operator?
It's a subscription tv service that's used over the internet
"Microsoft has approached media companies about creating a subscription-TV service delivered over the Internet to Xbox videogame consoles and other devices, Reuters reported Monday.
It isn't clear which cable networks or programming groups Microsoft may have approached to date. Such a service "may not arrive for another 12 months," according to Reuters, citing two unnamed sources.
Microsoft also is considering creating selling individual channels directly "such as an HBO or Showtime," Reuters reported.
Microsoft already has a deal with ESPN to provide access to ESPN3.com to Xbox 360 users with an Xbox Live Gold subscription plan. However, ESPN3.com is available only to users of broadband service providers that pay the sports programmer to carry it, and the ESPN and ESPN2 cable networks feature higher-profile programming. In addition, Microsoft is looking at using the Xbox to authenticate existing cable subscribers to watch shows with "enhanced interactivity," Reuters reported.
Last month, after more than three years in the works, AT&T began letting Xbox 360 users access U-verse TV programming via the videogame console. The telco is the largest customer for the Microsoft Mediaroom IPTV platform."
