Id rather pay $80 up front for a complete package, than be nickel and dimed for parts of unfinished packages, that are buggy messes, and microtransactions.
I honestly don't mind DLC when it is good though. It can prolong the longevity of the game. For example with the division, yes it needs more content and things to do, but by releasing content once a month it can make the game feel fresh. It also prevents me from rushing through everything.
I was willing to see them turn themselves around. I dont hate the company as much as the rest of the community does, and I still enjoy the game. But they fucked up.
Word. I can't talk too much shit. I am sucking off the division currently. Which isn't an amazing game. Its a good game and a lot of fun to play with friends, but its not revolutionary. I will say that for a loot based game it is better than games like destiny and probably even diablo at launch.
Im just having a lot of fun with my friends. It can be intense. I am excited to see where it goes but id probably only give it a 7.5 right now. Maybe an 8 if i was reaching. Regardless its fun. Its also exciting when you get some new loot.

Its shitty how they completelh ignored the console ports too. For BOTH GAMES. And they dont seem to give a single fuck.

Yea, they added microtransactions and the community freaked the fuck out. And they came out and were like "ok, we messed up. What do we need to do to make the game better again?" And then Overkill Games joined the Steam forums to get direct interaction. A bunch of people voiced their complaints, and said what irritated them...
And then they proceeded to release a paid DLC movie tie-in with Point Break, various paid weapon pack DLC, and some paid missions. They kept the microtransactions in, etc.
And they try by giving things away for free every once in a while, but they really lost the community.
Doesnt help that on top of it, they ignore consoles.
They just released ANOTHER movie tie-in DLC with Hardcore Henry yesterday. At least this one is free though. But that is one thing the majority of the community had an issue with (I personally dont care).
This brings external tie-ins to: John Wick (playable character), Hotline Miami (level pack, Jacket playable character), Chivalry (weapon pack), Alienware (masks and weapons), Speedrunners (masks), Point Break (level pack, Bodhi playable character), Hardcore Henry (level pack, Jimmy playable character), Walking Dead (Lucille weapon), Left 4 Dead (level in Payday 1), Goat Simulator (level pack), Alesso (the electro musician, level pack), StarVR (masks), and Dead By Daylight (masks).
Man I don't give a fuck that new Ratchet & Clank is based on the movie. Shit looks gorgeous and it'll be dope goin back to it. One of my favorite series growin up.

i really only buy dlc because my friends all buy it and I can't play with them if I don't.
I don't mind it with games like the Witcher. There was already so much polished content in the game in the first place.
If the DLC sucks doe ill be pissed.

DLC totals $130 at the moment
I wonder what changes they made from the first game.
