Today marks the 24th anniversary of the death of legendary Metallica bass player, Cliff Burton.
One of the most loved and influential musicians in the history of heavy music, today sees the anniversary fo the late, great Metallica bass player, Cliff Burton. The man responsible for extending Metallica’s songwriting capabilities and some of the greatest four-string moments in the history of metal (‘Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth)’ FTW), Burton’s presence is still missed in heavy music a full 24 years since his passing.

cliff was an incredible bass player and musician in general. i picked up his biography "to live is to die" and gave me more insight of how much he really meant to metallica since i wasnt born until 1990. great book if anyone wants to learn more about him. i still like orion more than anethesia though. my favorite instrumental right now
