I was 12 and in the 6th grade I do believe. I was in Mr. Illig's history class ironically enough. The plane that crashed in PA wasn't too far from where I was so there was a debate on whether they should let us go home, but we didn't. I remember that day was really nice, about 74 with clear blue skies. I knew exactly what was happening the whole time, even before the second plane because any logical thought would have known no one could accidentally fly into a building
I was in grade 3 and got woken up by my dad sayin that the WTC had been hit by airplanes. We didnt have to go to shool that day and we wathed the news report for like 2 hours. Not exciting ir tear jerking but ill remember it.
To the almost 3000 people who died. May you rest in peace. To the government officials who planned this Stalin-esque event. One day the truth will shine out and you will suffer for your crimes againsy humanity.
an interesting sidenote. My team at onebeacon right after 9/11 was contacted by the FBI to go thru insurance claims to find out if any of the hijackers, along with aliases, had any high money policies. My team didnt find anything, but another group found a life policy.
I MC'd my friends Eagle Court of Honor yesterday and my dad gave a great speech about 9/11 and gave a moment of silence for all the victims. I don't really remember specifics from the speech but it was really moving
Did anyone watch the special last nigh on the History Channel called "102 Minutes That Changed America?"
I have to say... it was somewhat unsettling at points.
I didn't watch that, but I watched some other show about 9/11 they had on there in the morning.
I only tuned in at night. It was basically a compilation of radio feeds from the planes and raw footage... so there were a bunch of people hitting the ground ><
