im looking for bands that are like a combo of death/thrash. thrash like guitar and sound but with more of a death metal singer. kinda like early sepultura....any recommendations?

The Haunted.

Actually that's pretty much dead on. Check out Anything from Made Me Do It to rEVOLVEr. Marco Aro had more death metal vocals.

Versus (their latest album) is more popish-melodeath if you can imagine that. But overall, they're a very distinguished type of melodeath. One Kill Wonder has the heaviest death metal vocals.

Cephalic Carnage. Yeah they're more death grind, but they do have a few songs with a more thrash, reg death metal influence

They never really get all deathy with the vox, but they get deathy in an instrumental way. Tapping the Vein gets death metal all over this bitch.

Nola, you should check out Testament's "The Gathering"

It isn't completely low growls, but you'd probably like it. All Testament is good, but that is basically their heaviest album.
