I don't really get the Muschamp thing. I understand he's an alum, but the whole reason they don't expect to keep Pruitt is because he won't be calling plays. Why bring in an expensive DC that doesn't call his own plays?

I've heard Pruitt is a bit of a dick and not well liked on Richt's staff. And he's probably going to want Smart's old job anyway.

I'm not really saying they should keep Pruitt. I do like Pruitt. Dick or not, he got the job done. They improved both years he was here. I just don't understand why they would get a big money DC when you have a defensive-minded head coach. Seems more useful to bring in a big money OC instead.
Kinda says a lot that they considered bringing Butch Davis back after he let North Carolina run wild with academics and Miami having a scandal of their own in recent history.
Who says they won't get one of those too? They've got the money. They have the top ranked QB coming in as well, assuming he stays committed.
As long as they don't implement that spread shit, I'm game. Local radio jocks seem to think he's gonna try more of an option/pistol thing with a mobile quarterback. That shit makes my skin crawl
