Why is Te'o even being considered for Heisman? He doesn't have jaw-dropping numbers or anything. I mean, JFF has more forced fumbles than him...
>numbers >Heisman >oh no...
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know numbers really aren't what the Heisman is all about. It's really who made the biggest impact. But even his numbers aren't at the top of defensive categories. Te'o is a great player without a doubt, but just not Heisman worthy. Biased, but JFF has made the biggest impact out of anybody this season despite being a freshman.
I'm not entirely sure Manziel is the best player in the country, but he's going to win it because there is no one else separating themselves right now.

Who is the best player in the country? The one with the most used talent or the one that means the most to his team's success? If it's the latter, then it has to be Manziel.

I'm just not crazy about him winning the Heisman yet. He had an outstanding performance against Alabama, but struggled against Florida and LSU. It's supposed to be based on a body of work, not just having the best performance of the year.
As for players that have meant the most to his team's success, I can think of a couple players that mean more to their teams than Manziel: Collin Klein at KSU and a certain quarterback for a team south of here that happens to be undefeated. Keep in mind too that A&M's defense played just as big a role in upsetting Alabama.
I think Manziel will win it and he definitely deserves to go to New York, but I'm not entirely sure if he's the right choice.

Florida was his first collegiate game so of course he'll be a little rusty. LSU was more of a defensive battle and he did struggle but managed over 300 yards total offense.
Don't get me wrong, I think the guy's a great football player. I just think that any other year, he's probably taking third or fourth place in the voting. Shows you how crazy this season has been.
lots of good teams in texas. no shame in liking all of them. im stuck with rutgers lol. although they did fairly well this year so good for them. im pretty sure they went to a BCS bowl game like 4 or so years ago.
