Not even. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to be near the punter when you're gonna get good field position only down 3. You guys dun goofed on a 4th and long and gave up even longer.
There's a couple reasons. One difference is that that was the last game of the season for both teams, compared to Alabama having half the season left to climb up the rankings. Another is that Alabama is clearly the second best team. At least that's my guess.
The main reason is it's the SEC. <_> There's no other major difference, in spite of what hypocritical analysts might claim. It's bullshit, but whatever. I think LSU should get the crystal football regardless of what happens. They've already beaten Alabama on the road, so what does beating them at a neutral site prove?
