those albums are all great but a masterpiece idk i just dont like the word...kill em all is a good thrash album..not a muscial masterpiece..ill leave it alone doe... those are great albums
To me, a musical masterpiece isn't music that is flawless and perfect in every musical term. An album that is a masterpiece is just an album in which I think the band was being the absolute best they could be at that time. If that makes sense...

I think of it in terms of what they're doing as well. I like bands to have their own voice. Some bands will never make a masterpiece because theyre just painting by numbers
First album off the top of my head is Boston's self titled debut.
The stats speak for itself. Examples:
- Second best selling debut of all time and the record sold like hot cakes to start.. impressive for a debut. - For that era, to have every song get radio airplay is huge (not that it determines a masterpiece, but it says a lot when 40 years later, each song can still be heard on your classic rock radio station) - Tom Scholz perfectionist approach to record the album his way as opposed to listening to the record labels demands for a re-recording their way was really cool. - Scholz guitar playing is second to none. - It's hard for me to say anything negative about this album. Some of the biggest songs in rock history appear on this album.
for me a "masterpiece" is a album that has withstood the test of time like Pink Floyd The Wall ...Rollingstones Exile on Main street....Beatles White album are all great ....Pantera Cowboys from Hell ....metallica Master of Puppets are a couple of metal greats along with Dio Holy Diver these will be around for a long long time....
