Another Slipknot member has revealed a new solo project in the wake of bassist Paul Gray's death in May.

DJ Sid Wilson has already put out a few albums under the name DJ Starscream, but now he has a new act simply titled SID.

He revealed details about his new band in an interview with Des Moines radio station Lazer.

"I am the frontman and have a band backing me with guitarist 9Ballz, drummer Big Mike, the DJ A-Roc Impossible and hype and back-up vocals by Jamazz."

Wilson didn't reveal what kind of music SID would create, but they already have a show on Aug. 26 at the Val Air Ballroom in Des Moines.

In addition to SID, several other members of Slipknot have solo projects, including guitarist Jim Root and vocalist Corey Taylor's act, Stone Sour. Wilson has appeared on their albums. Their new Audio Secrecy disc is out Sept. 7.

Drummer Joey Jordinson's band, The Murderdolls, also just put out a new album.

Slipknot's Jim Root has said the band need to go through a "healing process" to deal with Gray's death before the band think about whether to continue recording together or whether they should split up.

"We haven't talked about anything we're going to do," Root told the Sonisphere website. "We've got some things to talk about so right now we are just going to not think about them...

"There's going to be a big healing process that needs to happen before we even think about whether or not Slipknot will continue. And right now that's the furthest thing from our mind. Right now we are just grieving or trying to find time to grieve anyway for the fact that our bro's gone."

Thanks for the report to Chartattack.com.
