Tapes were absolute shit With CDs you certainly get perfect clarity with no imperfections Records used to have a bit of a scratchiness and weren't as sharp but it some ways that made them better because it made the recording more raw and real It was a bummer if they ever got scratched because then they would skip and couldn't be played, but I guess CDs can be damaged too
