id rather pay 40k for a regular wedding with all my friends/family there than 2k on 3 minutes of being onstage infront of 15,000+ people i didnt know...
True, but a lot of people can't afford 40,000 for a wedding
then dont spend 40k on a wedding...
you can still get married and not spend 40k..
Mine and Ashley's wedding isnt going to be anywhere NEAR 40k...the most expensive thing we have to get is dresses/tuxes...
Dresses, Tuxes, invites, cake, we are looking at around 5k...
mainly cause we arent paying for a Venue...
Some people in the world want their wedding to be the way they want it, which usually means a higher price tag. Some people will wait years so they can afford the wedding they want to have, usually the 40,000. Other people just don't care and just want to get married. I know someone who just got married to get it over with and they had a bonfire party/reception BYOB a bit afterwards really. It all depends on the person

If you want your wedding to be extra special, it's going to have an extra big price tag. If you're doing it right though, it should be the only time it happens. I think you should have the ornate ceremony, as long as both parties want it.
