Behemoth review, Mr. Smalls in Millvale, PA

I didn't know that there was a local opener for this show so i kinda got confused at first. I come in from extreme cold, wind, and snow outside to listen to rap at first. Then this band comes out, they have everything turned up waaaaay too high and they look like some band that would come straight out of South Park and acted like it ontop of it. Horrible, horrible local band.

Then Lightening Swords of Death came out next and I didn't think they were too bad. Their bassist surprised the fuck out of me and is quite possibly the best bassist I've come across because I have yet to see anyone else do the type of shit he did.




Then it was Septic Flesh. I seen them once before on tour with Cradle when they opened. Their stage presence from then until now has changed and my venue was loving them. Chanting their name like 5 times haha. Amazed the fuck out of me with the crowd reaction.

And then there was Behemoth. I've seen them 3 times prior and met them all three times. This will be the first time I didn't meet them, but they were how I expected. They were great even though Nergal got pissed off. I don't know whether someone or multiple people in the crowd did this or his sound guy/roadie. Because that guy was fucking up alot. Nergal got so pissed he kicked his mic down at one point. I'd go into this more but yeah, after a while he just told the crowd fuck you and didn't even rip up a bible...which is odd but whatevs'

That's what I'm not sure about. There was your normal crowd surfers, normal pits, and people with bibles. I just think that things weren't going well from the start. I found out they didn't make it to Cleveland the night before until 8 so they closed off the main area and had the openers and everyone go upstairs to the smaller part. Behemoth didn't go onstage until midnight and played until about 1:15. Their sound dude/roadie guy seemed to be getting shit wrong with Nergals guitar and so forth, not fixing the mic right, ect. I think that's what did it and he took some frustration out last night.
