Wtf my second part of my post didn't post. Someone on the blast fiends group posted that Bart isn't on tour with his new band because he's producing dahlia's new album \mmmmm/
I can kinda see that. They have the same flat, thuddy drum sound as Shitknot though. I don't see what the big deal is, but I never have when it came to SS. It does seem a little more honest now that they're not pretending to be death metal
How can a band be up their own ass that much jesus christ. You wanted people to hate it or people are just mad haters that are negative for no reason? Which is it?
I truly think Eddie is trolling them at this point.

Suicide Silence have always been a name-brand band for deathcore. A lot over the trv deathcore fans didnt like it when Whitechapel "sold out" and went djent, or when Carnifex turned into a Behemoth worship band. SS was kind of like a last straw. Plus with them being the most popular, they're easiest to shit talk for credibility. I mean, yeah it sucks ass, but not really any more than their other stuff lol. I can at very least have some respect for them wanting to evolve, and not just giving into fans to go back to their old shit.
Kinda the way people shit talked Expire and Rotting Out in hardcore. Sure theyre nowhere near the best, but theyre the band kids needed to introduce them to the genre. Expire's "farewell" tour last night was fucking insane.
Shit don't phase me at all but the fans are stupid. Most these Core bands are pushin 30 if not over it already, they're sposed to make angry teen music for teens their entire careers? You can't exactly "sell out" in Extreme Metal either lmao. Even wit the lighter sound and clean vocals thrown in, that shit is never gonna make a SERIOUS paycheck.

There's definitely a line between the ones that are in it for the money and the ones that are in it for the love. That gets put to the test over time. Most of the ones in it for the money will either break up or change their sound when the musical climate changes. What's kinda ironic is that the bands that plug along through lean periods end up having long-term money waiting on them down the road. Slayer and Cannibal Corpse immediately come to mind. Those guys were waving their flags in the late 90s and early 2000s when extreme metal was buried. Now they're icons. They get cherry slots on tours and fests playing the same songs people ignored back in the day and prolly sell enough merch to eat off of for years
