Fuck that, guns laws are fine the way they are. If anything, ammo needs to be cheaper. Costs like 35 cents a round to shoot my AR15. They could do a little more work on the background checks doe. I can go buy another assault rifle right now if I go fill out a sheet of paper. It would take like 2 weeks to get a handgun doe.
smuggling exists though? and so many assault rifles are manufactured here, no need for that. anybody not dumb will just be able to go around those roads. gun control will not prevent stuff like orlando from happening.

and you cant just tax your way out of something to get around flat out banning the 2nd amendment. still, what about law abiding people? you wouldnt fine people money on free speech for saying "fuck" or "cunt." besides, you wont be able to impose taxes like that without incredible backlash from a bunch of nutcases.

All assault rifles manufactured in the US are semi automatic doe. They're really just rifles shaped like automatic weapons. I have a semi-automatic AK47. It's my favorite gun. I feel like someone could do a lot more damage with a .45 caliber handgun and a bunch of loaded clips than I could with my AK. People would see me coming from a mile away. People who wanna commit mass shootings are gonna get their hands on the guns regardless. They're not really worried about the law when they're planning mass murder.

Smuggling exists but it makes everything more expensive. It's the reason why coke, etc is fucking expensive. I don't have a strong opinion one way or another on whether guns should be legal/illegal. They just shouldn't be easy to get. Frankly, IMO, none of us have business owning a gun, but if you want to, it doesn't matter to me. Don't kill anyone with it and it should take you 2-3 months to get one.

We've already lost the fight when it comes to defending ourselves against the state. The concept of a well armed militia as a means to overthrow the government has been insane since WWI.
I own a handgun as a means of protecting myself and my family in my home. I think its very important right as an American to have. However i agree with Alex that assault weapons need to go.
Just a few weeks ago these 2 crackhead teens broke into a home in Golden (a very nice city in Colorado which i work in) because they thought it was a drug dealers house and were looking for cash and drugs. The house belonged to a family of 4 and i'm pretty sure the dad got stabbed and died.

exactly -- you have every right to have it and I fully support people having those kinds of guns. I plan to have one or a couple myself. bad dickheads have guns... better to be armed.
