Other countries are doing just fine with their drinking age at 18. So why would it be such a terrible thing for America to do? Oh, right. Everyone is a fucking moron in this country
18 year olds here are much dumber/irresponsible than most other countries.
This was mighty depressing to read related to that
“Nobody had any idea,” Singerman adds. “We just learned Saturday, two days ago (sic), that he even had cancer and the doctor told him he had between two to six months to live. He goes (dies) today as I was making calls to (bandmates) Phil andMikkey telling them to come on out so they could have a last goodbye while he was still upbeat and everything.
I started drinking at 19 and started smoking cigs at 17. These laws are idiotic and another petty attempt for the police to search and hound you. If someone wants a cig, they'll get one. If someone wants a drink, they'll get one. Smoking age shouldn't be raised, its idiotic. About to turn a younger gen against the police. Thats all it will accomplish. Drinking age should be less than 21 but it seems reasonable.

>i drank at 19, so everyone shpuld be able too.
Just because you CAN get something doesn't mean it's a smart/good idea. It definitely goes down to the individual, but most 18 year olds in this country are too dumb and/or irresponsible to legally drink. The fact that they sneak around tp get drunk kinda shows that. But it's whatever. I hope they actually do raise it to 23 years old next year, just so people will complain about it.
Keep it illegal so that teens binge on it and poison themselves out in the woods and are too scared of legal concequences to get friends the medical help they need rather than have them in a safe environment where they can learn the ropes of safe consumption and proper drunken responsibility.
When I was in middle school, one of my best friends had a brother die exactly how Jobe mentioned. He got fucked up at a barn party in the woods and stopped breathing. His friends were so scared of getting in trouble they waited too long to take him to the emergency room and he died.
My dad started letting me drink light amounts of beer and mixed drinks at July 4th and New Years events when I was about 10. By the time I was 17-18, I kinda knew what made me tick. I've never had any health problems from drinking. Little European kids drink wine from the time they can walk and talk. It's all in how you handle it IMO. I think the change in laws usually has nothing to do with public safety and more with either economics or some political agenda (christians), so I'm always suspicious when they go about changing the laws

I went to a hooka bar for the first time a few weeks ago. I found it crazy how enjoyable that was compared to smoking cigs. Not even comparable. I couldn't smoke a cig today but I had no probs doing hooka. I haven't smoked anything for 12 years before going there
Yea, how dare someone not want dangerous and harmful things legally and easily available to stupid kids with no self control. What horrible people we are.
I dont vote and never will, so dont worry regardless.
If it were legal it would probably diminish the appeal. If you can vote, sign up to joing the military, see war and possibly die in doing so at 18..you should be able to legally buy alcohol. Idgaf about your sorry opinion
