I had to get my NYS inspection done today on my motorcycle. Last year I went to this place close to my work and they did this super thorough job and they tell me that my tires tread are literally right on the legal mark for passing, but in two weeks they wont be. He recommended I get the tires changed asap.... fuck that.
So this year I needed to find a place to get my NYS inspection done where they werent going to be as big of Nazi's about it. so I find this place that looks big time shady... Dude are smoking in their actual business part, not just the garage. So I walk in and here is how the convo goes
"NYS inspection?" "Yup" "Whats the mileage?" "6797" "registration please" *hands registration* "Ill be back in a minute"
Minute later he walks back with the inspection sticker, takes off the old one, slaps on the new one and says

i didn't give it to them. My boss handled the rest. My guess is he didn't actually tell them how much. probably just suggested they not write it with there child on there.

people are stupid though and dont like to take responsibility for their actions. In fact, I wouldnt be surprised if they think the police had it all wrong both times when their kid had two at fault accidents.
I can tell you that I wouldnt have been calling to get that quote in that situation... After my kids first at fault accident, he'd be taking the short bus with all the other stupid retards.

for the last 3-4 months I have wanted to start working out. But I've literally done nothing because I am too lazy to join a gym because I am too lazy to go to it, and so I've done absolutely nothing. for the last two weeks though I decided that if I really dont have the time to do that, then maybe I can just do some things at home by myself. So for the last two weeks before I take a shower and go to bed, I've been jumping rope, doing a few sets of situps, and doing a few sets of push ups. I kinda mix them together.... Like I do 100 jumps, then 75 situps, then 30 pushups, then I repeat that one more time and call it a day. Im spending probably 5-10 minutes doing this. Anyways, for the last two weeks i've been sore as fuck. crazy how out of shape I am.
Note - I am not in any way claiming this is better then any routine that people recommend. Im not saying it is better than going to the gym. but I feel like it's better than *saying im going to start working out, but never doing it*
Yeah the first two weeks fucking suck. Its so hard for me to stay motivated long enough for something to become part of my routine.
One of the reasons im excited about this dog. Its going to be a pretty active dog so its going to give me motivation to be walking/running more. I know that kinda sounds stupid, but i am more motivated from doing things for other people/animals than i am motivated to do things for myself lol.

That is dumb, but I can understand it.
Anything you can do to motivate yourself with something like this is progress as far as I am concerned. I just hope in a few months the routine will become so ingrained in my life that I will be able to step it up, add new equipment, make it longer, and just not give up because it takes too much time.
Yeah. Iv read that you have to do something for 90 days to make it a habit. If you can stick to something for that long it will just become second nature.
I have to kinda trick myself into working out. My willpower sucks. I get too depressed and don't give a shit about myself too often. I'll do shit like out my weight set on my bed to where I have to move it before I can sleep. By the time I get through moving it, I'm usually able to psyche myself into a 20 minute workout lol
