Need some input.... Let me give a little back story first because it played a big part in why I did what I did.
There were two little league baseball teams in my town this year (for 13 year olds). When they were picking the two teams one coach (who happened to be the dad of my sons best friend) was picking all the really good pitchers and players. The other coach was picking all the kids that his kid was friends with. And the other coach after like 6 picks says "You need to start picking some of the better kids. Your team will suck". And the other coach said "I'd rather have a team where everyone knows each other even if we lose". Anyways, my son ended up on the shitty team because my sons best friends dad is a competitive asshole and my son isnt the best. He is better than I ever was at baseball, but that aint saying much. So we are in the second round of the playoffs (one game elimination rules) and we are matched up against this better town team and they should easily win. They smoked us both games in the regular season. Anyways, my son is batting 6th... There are 2 outs bases loaded. And this other coach calls time and then bitches to the umps that we gave him the wrong lineup. Note, he only knew because he knows my son, and there was some debate if our coach gave him teh wrong lineup. So the umps decide to rule an out based on a technicality and say to my son cause he hadnt batted "You can bat next inning" because we were keeping the same lineup that we had planned. So the other coach says "NO!! He is OUT. He is not batting NEXT inning! No WAY". Which is bullshit. fuck you dude... You have a way better team and you specifically chose not to have my son on your team.
So here is the bad path... Fast forward to the bottom of the last inning. We are up by 1 or 2... And one of his guys strikes out. And he says something like "Come on UMP!!! That was way outsides!". And the ump takes off his mask and says "Oh Im sorry!?!?! Did you have a Much better view of that pitch way down at Third?????" . So Im literally right at teh end of the backstop, I have a perfect view of the pitches too and the ump was calling a very good game. Was no ball. So I yell out "KEEP IT CLEAN COACH" and he yells back at me "WHAT?!?! SERIOUSLY? YOU SAW IT BETTER TOO". and I yell back "YEAH... IM RIGHT HERE. CAN SEE IT PERFECTLY"
Anyways, wish I hadnt said anything at all. I feel like an idiot. Question is - Should I apologize to my sons coach for my outbreak? Honestly I was really pissed with him over the earlier bullshit where he took a at-bat away from my son. So fucking glad he lost the game.
I would just give a brief apology to him in passing. "Hey sorry about my little outburst, wont happen again man"
I don't see it as that big of a deal but if you feel bad about it then it would be benifical to apologize. That other coach sounds like a major douche.
