Just got back from the "Black Metal, Wine and Cheese" Party. It was so...odd. Bunch of metalheads in corpse paint, drinking wine and talking in Finnish. I unfortunately had to leave early, before their drunk escapade through the woods in the snow/rain. Ended up getting a ride back to campus from some random Finnish Anthropology grad student. Fun times. Cool group of people.
Writing Music is the only thing that keeps me sane. It clears my mind and puts me at ease. I can only write while depressed or extremely pissed, or my lyrics turn out so generic, it's not even funny. I only like writing with true emotion.
Well you always have true emotion, but I guess I mean I can't write while happy or calm. That's when it always ends up being stupid shit about war or religion and what not.
Not everything, but yes, a lot of it is like that. But eh I like it. I'm still learning songwriting as I go, as it's an art in it's self, but I actually like a lot of the lyrics I write.
I suck at writing anything. Actually I don't like anything I've ever written. Hell...I don't even really approve of any of the art I've done but other people seem to love it *shrugs*
