What makes you hate yelawolf? Animal got me hooked on his stuff
Just not a fan. I lived in the town where he's from for a minute and nobody from there should ever be allowed to rap, much less show up on a track with Raekwon or Big Boi. He obviously has a lot of label money behind him getting cherry features. I'm really not into this bedroom rapper culture. I think the old days of having to pay your dues are sorely missed.

Fair enough. I think though the paying your dues thing can be over rated because some talent can be missed in that process from people not willing to cooperate

The problem is that by making it so easy to put your shit out there now, the culture that used to exist around the music is pretty easily circumvented and you end up with a lot of people who have no business participating getting their shortcut. As hip hop stands now, it's pretty much a dead culture because of this. It's almost completely merged with bullshit pop music at this point, and rappers like yelawolf are a byproduct of that. What's really sad is that yelawolf gets a lot of resources at his disposal due to his ethnicity and image where rappers that have 10x his talent are toiling in obscurity. I mean, what label guy wants to deal with someone that attaches himself to an ethic when they can get any cheeseball to say "how high?" when told to jump? Same goes for any music style.
