I must confess I've never been to any. I've flown into Atlanta before and that didnt seem bad. And I've been to Florida a few times but I dont consider that apart of the southern states. but that's about it.

Okay I looked it up. Historically states labeled "Southern States" were the states that were in the Confederacy which includes WV.

It's not that. It's more I was surprised they didnt consider it a southern state. And got to thinking "this name southern states had to come from somewhere, Im curious what the actual definition is"

In truth, I honestly had no idea what wikipedia would have to say on the matter. I could have easily been wrong as Im not huge geography or history buff. Had someone like Nola spoken up and said something, I would have just assumed he was correct since he studied that in college. I just happened to be right this time
