I like the idea of a more modern, utility kilt. Can wear around more, and whatnot. Basically becomes like cargo pants, but in kilt form.

Especially because of the pockets and such.

they have hybrid kilts on that site, that are utlilty kilts with family tartans inserted between the slits. may be cheaper than traditional tartans.
