my grandma was in the hospital for 29 days before she died. It was the hardest thing iv ever been through in my life my man. That shit sucks. Beat of luck to you and your family through this shitty time.
Wow that's fucking awful Rex, I couldn't even imagine. I do appreciate that though, it means a lot.
One of the worst things about all of this is that I've also had to interact with my sister for the first time in 6 months. She cut off communication with me which had been a blessing up till now. God she's annoying.
What’s he dying from, Arlo? Is there any way to (for lack of a better way to put it) send him out in style? When my grandmother was dying, we had a rotation of family that was coming in to hang with her, show her old pictures, play cards with her, stuff like that. It made it a softer landing when they finally cut off the machines and let her pass.

He's slowly passing because his heart is giving out. He's unconscious most of the time now but has not been able to get out of bed for a full week. We've basically been sitting around just waiting for the inevitable. I was able to talk with him up until yesterday but he's gotten to the point where he probably won't wake up again.
That's the longest wait and it sucks all the way around. My grandma went the same way. We were on rotating shifts for almost 2 weeks. My mom barely ever left the hospital, and grandma passed on on of the short breaks while she was away. My mom took that fact the hardest in the end... "I should have been there."
My aunt was with my grandma when she passed though. Grandma suddenly woke up, looked around. My aunt told her "It's ok Ma, you can go" and she went.
Sorry for your struggles and my bummer story. It's a shitty time.
If you still have your grandparents, visit them now. Talk to them. Get the old stories while you can.
Can I just say....I had a complete cunt of a day..... I got an absolute bollocking from a customer.
I talked to this client in the morning about a small accident his daughter had. I then spoke to his daughter three times during the day to tell her the process of claiming for the damage to her car. She was fine. Not stressed. Quite happy to do as I suggested etc. Easy.
Bear in mind I have 20+ similar conversations a week with different clients.
Then early afternoon the father comes to visit me in the office. I think he wants to just chat about his insurance. I walk out to reception and he's like..."can we talk in private"....yeah sure I say and I take him to a meeting room....
We just get inside and close the door and he spins around and hes like a foot from my face just yelling....no opening line or anything except....WHY THE FUCK DIDNT YOU TELL ME WE COULD GET A RENTAL CAR THIS MORNING!!! YOURE OUR FUCKING INSURANCE BROKER. MY DAUGHTER HAS BEEN FUCKING RUNNING ALL OVER AUCKLAND LOOKING FOR A PANELBEATER WITH A COURTESY CAR AND NOW YOU FUCKING TELL ME SHE HAS COVER UNDER HER FUCKING INSURANCE POLICY!!!!!!!!!
He went fucking ballistic. Like off his fucking tits. I'm just zoning out looking at him with a total Jayface thinking....are you for real....I could not believe how agro and angry and abusive he was over something that was extremely trivial and not an issue whatsoever
