I spent the last 5 days working on this issue at work... Really hot item that had the attention of the CEO. Basically if shit didnt work then I was the focal point name as to why we lost potentially millions. Even though I didn't write the buggy code, I was going down for it if we didnt meet the demo date. I found the bug today and resolved it in time for the demo... But the last 5 days grinds my gears. Im so out of it. I'll be sleeping good tonight.
My paper is supposed to be kinda like this, Satan.
i had to do a paper like that for a scene in 'american graffiti'. i always hated papers like this. explaining film like this is like trying to write a catalog. the best place to start is to count out how many different cuts/shots there are and begin from there. that always made it easiest on me. then go ahead and get all of the easy shots out of the way and go back to the harder ones.
I've watched it once. I'm going to watch it again Friday night and Saturday and write the paper on Saturday. And yeah, I was planning to count the shots in the scene before diving into the paper. But thanks. I'll definitely try to do the easy shots first. The scene is only 2 minutes and 46 seconds long. :-SS
try to keep in mind the relevance of the scene to the rest of the movie. that's probably a key to being able to explain the motivations of the shots. i've never seen 'grand illusions' and don't know renoir's style. hitchcock is a little easier, because he's known for longer takes. what is the movie about?
It's about a bunch of French P.O.W.s in WWI trying to escape from German prisons. And yeah, I know Hitchcock would be probably easier, but I'm kind of sick of that movie.

What scenes do you have to use?
have you watched the entire film?
