I don't mind it if they can get him cheap....I think we need to see what our younger guys can do though...we have plenty of talent in the minor leagues to fill the gaps on the 3rd and 4th lines.
He won't be paid much regardless as you say. He didnt do a lot last year, plus he's way up their in age. I personally would rather see a team stay in their organization and fill out a third or fourth line spot.
He's a hometown boy though, grew up in Livonia. That's part of the other reason. I don't think it would be a bad move, and the younger guys would learn from one of the best, but I don't know...
