Well, Europe's economy kicks the crap out of the US's economy and people in Europe are able to pay for a good bit of tickets which is why Europe gets twice as many tours as the US does.
It's not mainly because of where the bands are from, take Machine Head for example, it's been seemingly forever since they toured the US but they've been touring Europe for forever. This country is broke and Europe is flourishing, where would you tour?

I think it's got more to do with them just simply being a more loyal of a fanbase then us. Bands know their gonna draw instantly. It's always been that way. We can afford to go to shows, we just don't.
"Europe isn't doing much better economically, if that's what you're saying..."
Not by much but 1 EUR cost 1.20 USD, it should be 1 to 1.

True, plus Metal is much bigger in Europe than in the US, sadly.

"This is why i'm moving to Germany after college"
I'm telling you right now, if you're going to move to any European country it has to be the UK. I could give you a huge list of why I had an excellent time living there and why I plan on moving back in the future.

but death angel added makes me jealous
go to a "European-band" tour one of these days... you´ll get 50-75 people average.
In Europe... those same tours sell out.
what a disgrace it was watching Primordial in a crowd of, at the most, 50 people.
