Current plans but all are up in the air since it depends on work at the time
4/11 Elton John 5/14 Evening with BTBAM 5/22 - 5/24 Boston Calling (probably will just go for the Foo Fighters and RATM days) 6/20 Ozzy/Marilyn Manson 9/6 Rammstein
The wife got us seats in section VI. She has anxiety issues and wasn’t down for field tickets. She prefers looking over the crowd rather than being in it. Get tickets anywhere though, just go. It has show of the year written all over it.
You don’t have to like them to acknowledge facts. 3 things got me really hyped for this tour besides just being a fan of the band and how much I dig the new album.
1) - size. Not a lot of bands out there doing solo stadium tours right now. Who else? Maiden, Metallica and...? It’s a short list especially if we aren’t talking festivals.
2) - scale. The stage setup is fucking massive. Its a gigantic fucking production. Anybody doing it bigger this year?
3) - scarcity. They don’t tour the U.S. nearly as often as Metallica or Maiden does. Rage beats them in this category, but probably not in size or scale.
Buncha folks from MU going also adds to the hype. We’ve gotta long time to get hyped together. If you’ve got a better candidate for show of the year, I’d love the discussion.
