They're insanely talented musicians. They were better sound/mixing wise than Circa or Balance. I'm just not into that circle of bands like Chon, Dance Gavin Dance, Hail the sun etc. I actually dig Circa, but their mixing is horrible live.

Polyphia's newest record is like a 6/10 jam album, the rest is boring noodle-y shredding/technical for the sake of being technical. Chon are insane musicians in terms of technicality, their music just has very little to no feeling it groove to it. I can casually enjoy a record/song from a band without being obsessed over it...
