I listened to them about a couple years ago when I was looking for new music. Keep in mind that at the time, my favorite bands were SOAD, Manson, Disturbed and Korn (in that order). I gave AA a listen and fucking hated it.

I re-listened to them today (a couple years later here, I like bands like Whitechapel, TBDM, Carcass, JFAC, The Haunted, At The Gates, etc.) and I now love them.

yep all the songs on that album (and the new one) kind of have the same bland and boring structure. sure you could argue that its like it for Believe, but that album had 'liberate'
