I see no need for blu ray. I don't really play video games, but why does blu ray on your PS3 really matter?

Because for the price of a blu Ray player you can buy a ps3. If you have a good tv it makes a difference

Like 20 bucks normally. Sometimes 30. If you get a season on blu ray it's usually around 60. Cheapest I seen em go is 10-15

Blu-ray is HDTV at its best. Watching a lot of movies is like seeing them for the first time. The picture clarity is jaw dropping and you notice tons little stuff you couldn't see clearly on eve. New releases are about $25 to$30, older movies are cheaper.
