A 20-year-old Delaware man accused of stealing a portion of an unreleased video game was arraigned today in Boston Municipal Court.
Justin May, of Wilmington, allegedly downloaded the game at the Penny Arcade Expo East gaming conference in March at the Hynes Convention Center.
May faces charges of receiving stolen trade secrets after representatives of the Minneapolis-based video game company Destineer Computer Co. told security that May used a laptop to download their product on the floor of the expo. Building security detained May and turned him over to Boston Police, who arrested him.
Destineer's complaint alleges the game May downloaded was worth more than $6 million.
May was released without bail and ordered to return for a pre-trial conference June 27
