And Erik, I doubt it. Even though that would be really cool.

"The only good that could come out of this at all is Black Sabbath possibly reconciling with Ozzy and doing an original line-up Black Sabbath tour."
I don't see it happening.

I don't know. I see hope for it just because I don't think Iommi and Butler are the kinds of guys that would just quit after this. And the only logical replacement for Dio would be Ozzy. Maybe they'd do one last tour. That'd be amazing.

Yes, but since 2004, it's the most tragic loss.

I wouldn't say more tragic. Dio was old and had cancer, everyone knew it was a possibility.
Dimebag was under 30 (I think?) had his whole life ahead of him, and was shot down on stage unsuspectedly. Definitely more tragic.

The circumstances of his death were more violent and physically displeasing, but this has the most tragic effect upon the metal community.
"Well, Dio, Dime, Chuck, Cliff, n Rhoads can rock out together."
Those Chuck n Dio vocal harmonies would be the most metal thing in existence.

I would add to this but I don't want to disrupt the mourning

Dimebag was 38. I get what you are saying, murder is worse then dying peacefully, but Dio's death is more tragic for music.

I guarantee this will also lead to a tribute CD featuring Attack Attack!, Bring Me The Horizon and Whitechapel.
