Just like Nola said, I don't really know what groove metal is. Now I know what bands fit into that machine head seems a lot more thrash to me but then again I don't really know what groove is so...
Exhorder is not groove metal. The Law was just thrash with groove influences. Just like Pantera was groove with thrash influences.
Groove is like post thrash. People mistake it for thrash but it isn't, each song revolves around a certain groove. It's basically like jamming with song structure.
TUPAC IS DEAD/THE LEGEND IS GONE/THEY SAYIN TUPAC'S BACK?/DEM NIGGAS WRONG
Songs in groove metal revolve around the same/similar riffs throughout the entire song. I know this sounds strange, but it's like thrash you could dance to.
