Believe me, it's not about what you don't like, it's about what you do like. I don't really consider myself an elitist, but I guess that's because I don't really understand the term due to it's ambiguous-ness and overuse.

I play guitar too but I still mainly play metal
I play a rock song every now and then and maybe nirvana too but I like playing metal the most
