"Skeletonwitch - Breathing The Fire/Beyond The Permafrost"
I'd put this band on mine, if there was no limit to the amount of bands, but Breathing the Fire over Permafrost? Don't know what I think about that one.
God this is so hard. I was in second grade when it became 2000. I haven't really been around to see what came out and have favourite albums each year, as I got into metal late 7th grade. I'll make this list using each band only once, or else my favourite bands would dominate this list.
Moonsorrow - Verisakeet Primordial - The Gathering Wilderness Immortal - Sons of Northern Darkness Blind Guardian - A Twist in the Myth Behemoth - Zos Kia Cultus Finntroll - Ur Jordens Djup Ayreon - The Human Equation Sigur Ros - Takk... Bathory - Nordland I I - Between Two Worlds Arcturus - The Sham Mirrors Rhapsody of Fire - Symphony of Enchanted Lands II Celtic Frost - Monotheist Tuatha De Danann - Trova Di Danu Altan - Another Sky Dan Swano - Moontower Melechesh - Emissaries Wintersun - Wintersun Drudkh - Aumtumn Aurora Gris - Il Etait Un Foret Forest Silence - Philosophy of Winter Windir - 1184 Primal Fear - Black Sun
seems like a nile song title. I absolutely hate how ridiculously long some of their song titles are. Since the iTouch doesn't scroll through the song name like the iPod video did I can't always read the whole name, even when I lock my iPod then unlock it again to see the song name basically when I do that I can see the whole song name but not if it's too long. Nile is the only band where I couldn't see the whole song name when I've done that
This is an example: Papyrus Containing the Spell to Preserve Its Possessor Against Attacks From He Who is in the Water
I kinda lol'd when I first saw that name, I thought: so there's a water man attacking a possessor but is failing because some paper has a spell protecting the possessor from attacks........lmao

The spell is what protects him, not the paper, jeez
Just wait till you get The Ocean on your iPod, specifically Precambrian. It bugs me because I don't know the full song titles, I only know the later part of the song title. For instance...
III. Palaeoproterozoic: Orosirian - For the Great Blue Cold Now Reigns
I remember For The Great Blue Cold Now Reigns, but not Orosirian or Paleoproterozoic.
"Breathing the Fire over Permafrost? Don't know what I think about that one."
Both albums are great, but for me BtF has consistently better songs, and is just all-around more tight. It is more thrashy and Chance really improved his vocals. BtP is sometimes a bit overly melodic and you can tell the band was still searching for "their sound". BtF is a more mature release.
To put it another way, I often skip over a couple songs when listening to BtP, but I listen to BtF straight through just about every time.
Fuck this is hard...and i know imma get shit for some of these bands/albums...but what the fuck ever.. dont get mad since i will post local bands. no particular order.
