Quick AIM question....

ok i am pretty dumb on the comp and just started using aim again. is there anyway to look at a chat you just did if you accidentally closed out the window? help appreciated..........

If you have the newer versions of AIM, just click on the SN and the convo should pop back up.

Find them in the offline part of your list. If you click on it the convo should still pop up

nope its blank.... all i did was x out the window..

If you have Archives turned on you can get to the convo that way because it'll save it to a spot like this C:\Users\User\Documents\AIMLogger. If it's not turned on nothing would have got saved

i dont use AIM... I use MSN; but there should be an option where you can toggle whether or not you want it to saved all prior conversations

im in the computers documents and i see nuthin about AIMLogger. i even did a computer search for aim logger, nuthin. it just has the AIM application and the installation...

go to your AIM thing... and check the settings to see if you have the option for it archive the convos on.

shit i found the part that says log files and history and it wont let me click on it...fuck me....lol

Then it should be there. Go into your settings and on the left column there should be one that says IM Archives. Click on that and there should be two boxes you can check "Archive IMs/ Archive Chats". You can click one or both. Underneath that should be where you want to save them. Mine is in the AIMLogger but you can choose wherever I guess

what settings though i do ont see settings anywhere. on my mac i go to the edit at the top and it says log files and another one that says history but its not bold, so you cant click on it

At the top of your AIM buddy list you should see a menu. Click on it and you should find Settings.
