i am on salary. the upside is a steady paycheck, downside, work a ton of hours and get paid the same

yeah iv never been on salary...don't ever really want to be lol...my boss actually gives me double time for over time while every other job i have had gave me time and a 1/2

They just don't want to pay us overtime. So we work our 8 hours a day and that's it.

extra hours i work because i am salary are ok, because if i need some time off i can usually strike a deal with managment where i wont have to take vacation or personal time.

main reason why my position is salary is off-hour support. i carry an on call phone and cn be called 24/7. i am used to it so its not all bad

I would loathe being on 24/7 with a passion.

it got me out of family events i didnt want to go to. just set an alarm to go off 1/2 hour after i arrive and say i have to go home to work at once

yeah i can be on call some times to...never on the weekend....but if i work first shift like today i did..if we get busy and need me to come in for some work any where up until midnight i can still be called in

Me too. But at least my boss is gone this week so there was no one to stare me down and give me the stink eye when I walked in late.

I'd go on the boat. Even without the wakeboard. I've never done it. I just like boating.

i'm at work, got here super late because I had an interview at...the SUPREME COURT I'm working here until 4, then i have to speed to get to my 2nd job on time...
